Dragon fruit is a fruit native to Central America. It is a member of the cactus family. The main growing areas are in Chanthaburi, Chon Buri, Kanchanaburi, Saraburi, and Samut Songkhram provinces, where it is abundantly produced from March to November. It is an oval-shaped fruit with a red skin. When cut in half, the flesh is white or red, depending on the variety. It has seeds similar to basil seeds embedded throughout the fruit.
